I got an invitation to visit Shenzen, China. It is my first time to see the beauty of the country. My route is via Hongkong and took my visa there. I was really excited but with little fear inside me eventhough I have been to different places. For me its a new adventure to face and a great experience to remember.
I stayed at my cousin’s place and we have fun times, i have seen lot of places there. We went to Bi jia San Mountain, the tallest mountain in Shenzhen, and was able to look over the whole places there. . . . it was so beautiful. We went also to Hongkong to visit Disneyland and to do some shopping.
When I got there, I have encountered a problem . . . . most chinese don’t speak fluent english and they don’t understand me either. Maybe because of the pronounciation, but some sign languages have helped me. . . ha ha ha ha. It was really hard talking to them but they were friendly and they are always willing to help in the best way they can. What I did was, I wrote the message I want to say and sometimes I look for someone who could understand me. I have tried to speak the way they pronounced it but it was too difficult. I am thankful that I found a chinese friend, her name is Jacy. She speaks very good english. We’ve been closed during my stay there, she called me, we sometimes go out together and we contact each other from time to time even through email. We do really have fun. Well, I will never forget this young lady for being so friendly and so sweet.
When I was going back to Manila, I was carrying several luggage with me because of the presents and some stuffs. I don’t know exactly how to carry those because I need to walk and transfer via train and bus from china to hongkong. But an angel from heaven came, His name is Nikki or Niqui, don’t know how to spell it, 34 y.o. and a Singaporean, he’d helped me all throughout my journey til I reached the bus going to airport in Hongkong, he’d been carrying some of my luggage and even we have different destination, he accompanied me. I thought, I cannot find some good and gentleman anymore. . . . but there still. I asked him some questions but the most katangahan I did, was to fail to get any of his contact information. . . “Well, Nikki, I really want to thank you for being so nice and I hope I can give you back all your goodness, if not, I pray that you will receive more blessings. . . .” I pray he can read this. I hope I would be able to meet this guy again in the future, we’ll never know!
This trip was a memorable one, I will really treasure it!
